Most of my life I was never happy with how I looked. Fad diets, eating nothing, overeating and working out with no plan in mind other than “CARDIO” had always been my mindset. “Well if I burn as many calories as I eat I HAVE to lose weight right?” Wrong. You’ll lose weight, but the likelihood of you maintaining that weight is slim. Plus if you don’t mind feeling depleted everyday and what I like to call “the skinny fat jiggle” then you’re good to go!
As an athlete, I’ve honestly experienced it all. I was a Division I soccer scholarship athlete in college. I know what it takes to go from running a 30 minute three mile (where I started) to running a 21 minute three mile. I know what it takes to be the slowest person on the team to…well okay not the fastest but as fast as God gave me these two legs to run! As a kid, I spent countless hours with multiple speed coaches and athletic trainers because…well…it worked!
I’m 5’8” and I’ve been 175 pounds close to 40% body fat. I’ve been 150 pounds with 30% body fat. And I’ve been 130 pounds with 12% body fat.
But honestly, it was never just about my weight or a number on a scale. It was about how I felt everyday. Since my early teens I struggled. I was sluggish, depressed, and I was never happy with how my clothes fit. I just felt uncomfortable.
When I set my wedding date I decided that was IT. By studying the human body and by using my experiences in the past to formulate a workout program that is healthy and effective, I finally transformed the way I exercised and ate.
